Who We Are
Lions Club of Quilters Victoria Inc. (LCQV)
LCQV is an enthusiastic, dedicated group committed to fulfilling the goal of growing our signature project, the Australian Quilt & Textile Collection. Assembling a significant and comprehensive collection of Australian quilts and recognising Australian quilt artists with the myriad of stories that brought about the existence of these works, is our prime objective.
The AQTC collection will reflect that which is unique in the Australian textile arts through varied formats, and provide a valuable educational resource as well as a wonderful visual feast.
We are immensely proud to be a part of Lions International as a special interest Lions Club, along with our constitutional requirement that 100% of public monies collected is returned to AQTC and our community programs. A modest membership fee applies to cover all administration costs. LCQV is managed by an elected Board of Directors.
There are several ways that you can support or contribute, including becoming a Member or Associate Member of LCQV or through donating. We need a diverse membership foundation to support the AQTC and our textile and humanitarian programs. There are several positions available. You will find your niche in LCQV and all ideas are welcome.
We meet in locations across Metropolitan and Central Victoria on the 4th Saturday of the month.
One can do a little, but many can do SO much more…

The AQTC Is Your Collection
You can be a part of the picture
It has always been our highest priority that these works be publicly accessible for research, study, education, skills sharing and for visual and tactile appreciation.
The AQTC team and many supporters have dedicated time, skills and sheer hard work along the journey. However, funding acquisitions is one of our biggest challenges.
You can help by,
- Making an individual donation
- Arranging a group sponsorship for specific acquisitions
- Leaving a bequest
- Lending your time or skill
